Visual Analog Scale app for iPhone and iPad

This app (VAS: Visual Analog Scale) is a tool for the visualization and recording of highly subjective perceptions and views. Not only sensations of pain, anxiety etc., but also customer satisfaction and quality ratings can be collected over a defined period of time, as well as in relation to interventions. To create a new study, simply select the duration in number of days during which data are going to be recorded and choose the VASs used for each day (e.g. pain, fatigue, contentment etc.). Individual VAS templates can be created and stored for further use.
Hence the app allows graded recording of almost unlimited perceptional qualities over a range of arbitrarily defined extremes from a minimum to a maximum by means of a touch screen. The information is automatically converted into a value between 0 and 100 and stored on the hardware used (iPad / iPad mini), where it can be viewed and exported via iTunes and E-mail.
This enables customized and language independent use of the app in a broad clinical, consultative, mentoring and research context.
